What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It provides an easy way
to gather and browse information from a variety of frequently updating sources
like blogs, headlines, or Web site updates. An RSS document is called a
"Feed" or "Channel." These documents contain brief previews
of content from Web sites of your choosing and are sent directly to your
reader. RSS makes it easy to keep up with your favorite, ever changing content
on the Web.
How do I get an RSS reader?
To receive RSS content you must have an RSS reader. There are different RSS
readers available at no cost, while others are available for purchase. Some
readers stand alone as programs on your desktop, while others work directly
from a Web site.
