Dushyant Shahrawat is a Senior Research Director at TowerGroup in the Securities and Investments practice. With over 15 years of experience in financial services, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. He researches strategic issues facing asset managers, hedge funds, and brokerage firms globally and advises clients about strategy, marketing, regulation, technology, and product development. In over a decade as an industry analyst, Dushyant has analyzed business and technology issues impacting investment managers and brokerage firms, and written over 90 reports covering new investment products (alternative assets), electronic trading, agency brokerage, regulation, market structure, and outsourcing. Since 2008, he has served on the advisory board of the US Institute, Institutional Investor’s member organization comprising Chief Investment Officers of the largest asset managers.

Before Dushyant joined TowerGroup, his experience involved conducting financial and business analysis at Thomson Financial Services and at Fidelity Investments, where he was involved in IT forecasting and analyzing trends in Fidelity's technology spending.

Dushyant has shared his opinions on financial industry trends at over hundred events across the US, Europe, and Asia. He has addressed sessions at SIFMA conferences, Institutional Investor Forums, Wall Street & Technology conferences, Financial Times Expo, and SWIFT’s Sibos. He has appeared on television and radio including CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox News and National Public Radio. He has also been widely quoted in publications including Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fortune, Financial Times, Barron's and Institutional Investor.

Dushyant has an M.B.A. in finance from Northeastern University and a B.A. in economics (with honors). He recently completed the prestigious Investment Management executive workshop jointly held by CFA Institute and Harvard Business School that focuses on the future of global asset management.
